Basic Referee Instruction & Training Clinics
Description: This course is for new referees - people that have not refereed before. If you are interested in refereeing, you must attend a Basic Referee Instruction & Training course.
Our clinic consists of three parts - 1) an Online Class lesson to be completed before classroom training; 2) 4 hours in-class instructions; 3) and an On-field Training instruction, approximately 2.5 hours in length.  You must attend all three portions to become certified.

Please  note: Referees must complete the 2 hr Online component before they attend their classroom session.
* A link to the Online Class web site will be emailed directly to each referee who submits their pre-registration.
New referees will attend their on-field training session at a local soccer field, during live soccer games.

Those dates will be announced & scheduled for each referee AFTER their classroom instruction is completed. Clinic locations will be sent by email with final clinic details and instructions, AFTER your pre-registration is submitted.

CostThere is no charge for the clinic for AYSA referees.  Detailed instructions about clinic attendance & requirements will be sent to all pre-registrants after May 25th.

  • The name & date of the clinic you wish to attend (type New Referee Clinic, June 22, or June 27)
  • Your name
  • Home address
  • Email address (primary plus any alternate email addresses)

  • Parent's first names
  • If you play soccer, please indicate what soccer club and age division you play for in the Summer and Fall.
Other Information
Clinic space is limited & registration is on a first come first served basis. Sessions will be closed when maximum room capacity is reached. So, please make sure to register as soon as you know you want to attend. A clinic with LESS than the minimum number of registrants at one week prior to clinic date will be canceled.
