The National E License Course will be held on March 17-19 at the College of St. Scholastica
Friday, March 17, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Saturday, March 18, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday, March 19, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
The National E course is an 18-hour course, held over one weekend, which covers the elementary principles of coaching and prepares interested coaches for the National D course. The course consists of a series of lectures and field sessions, and attendance is mandatory for the full duration of all course meetings.
Target Outcomes of the E License Course:
Develop the core coaching competencies necessary to effectively teach the 9-12 year old athlete and team.
Understand the characteristics and needs of an athlete in the Basic Stage of U.S. Soccer’s Long Term Athlete Development Model.
Demonstrate competency in planning an age-appropriate training session.
Understand concepts and recognize the principles of attacking and defending in a small-sided game environment.
Here are the steps to sign up for the E License Course:
1. First you must complete the F License Course. This course is a 2-hour online course. The fee for this course is $25.
2. You can then register for the E License Course. The fee for this course is $200.
(There may be opportunities for partial reimbursement for coaches. Please stay tuned for more information.)
Remember, in order to register for the E course, coaches must first complete the online F license training. No exceptions.
There is also some online work prior to starting the first day of the E license course so register early!
