TRAINING FOR NEW REFEREES

If you are 11 years of age or older, become a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) certified referee in 2018!

In order to referee beginning in May, you need to follow the USSF Grade 8 certification track and complete all Grade 8 training requirements detailed below.

 

New referees, and returning 1st year referees who began refereeing in our Lower Division program in Fall 2017 will need to attend a Grade 8 course and become USSF certified in order to referee in the 2018 Spring Upper Division & Competitive seasons. This includes paying a registration fee.

The training course for a Grade 8 referee includes:

1) Self-paced 8 hours of online training  

2) 8 hours of classroom instruction and

3) Participation in our local pre-season on-field training

Students must finish all components and pass a short test to complete certification.

 .

Referees must register with the USSF and pay their registration fees online BEFORE they can start online instruction and sign up for their classroom session.

.Please access the MNSRC website, complete your online USSF registration and USSF clinic sign-up.

Registrations and fees can not be accepted at clinics. Please register early because clinic space is limited.

When maximum room capacity is reached, registrations must be closed.

Specific clinic locations and final class details will be sent to new referees by email after online registration and clinic sign-ups are completed.
