FALL COACHES MEETING

THANK YOU FOR COACHING! 

We appreciate you giving your time and efforts to the AYSA soccer community.

Below is some very important information for all fall coaches (U6-U14). Please read through everything carefully. If you have any questions, please let us know.

COACH PACKET PICK UP

WEDNESDAY, JULY 13 @ WHEELER FIELDHOUSE (3501 GRAND AVENUE)

4:30-7:30 p.m.

One coach from each team should pick up your team packet. There will only be one packet made per team.

Packets will contain game schedules, age specific rules, weather cancellation policies, etc. If you are unable to pick up your packet that night, the remaining packets will be distributed to your club coordinator after July 13.

AYSA VIRTUAL COACHES MEETING

Thursday, July 14, 2022

All information will be covered at both meetings. Choose between the two times below to attend. Choose the time that works best for your schedule. All brand new coaches should attend a meeting. If you are a returning coach, you do not have to attend the coaches meeting. If you would like a refresher, you are more than welcome to attend. We will answer questions at the end of each meeting. You can also email us your question(s) at info@arrowheadsoccer.com.

U6/U8 Coaches – 5:45-6:45 p.m.

U10+ Coaches – 7:00-8:00 p.m.

LOCATION: Arlington Soccer Fields (1299 S Arlington Ave)

Whether you are a new coach looking for help to understand your new role or a returning coach looking for a refresher course on games and drills for your team, these free trainings can provide coach support prior to the start of the season.

COACH REQUIREMENTS

Click Here for information on how to complete all your coaching requirements beginning July 6, 2022. These requirements will need to be completed before stepping on the field with your team. These must be completed by all head coaches, assistant coaches, and any team volunteers spending a significant portion of time with an AYSA team(s).

These requirements include:

– Background Check through Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (completed every calendar year).

– Concussion Training completed through the CDC Head’s Up Training or other recognized sports organization that can provide a certificate with the coach’s name and the date of completion (completed every 3 years – 2022, 2021, 2020 are valid).

– Child Abuse Prevention Training through Trusted Coaches (completed every year).
